Infrared Thermometer –
Draper
Another “have to have” device. With this you can ensure that your cooling thermostat is opening at exactly the right temperature, check the temperature of your milk for the yogurt, find hot-spots in the engine and measure if the crew have fever.

We bought this in March this year and have used it only a few times (few engine problems or fever). We paid €60 and are selling it in its original box with a battery included for 40 EUR in any currency.
Gear Oil SAE 30 –
1 Liter Yanmar
You can search everywhere for this oil but we have 1 liter for sale here in Langkawi. Here is a page that tells you about it but won’t ship it to you either.

Dipstick – Yanmar Gearbox
If you have a Yanmar KM2P, KM2P1, KM3P, KM3V, GM or JH series gearbox,then your plastic dipstick has either fallen apart, dropping bits of plastic in to the oil, or will do so. Luckily a guy in the USA makes replacements from aluminium. We have one on board still in its original packing.
